1What is the FAST Program?
FAST (Focus on Alternative Skills Training) is a program that provides a scholarship for Delaware high school graduates to attend and complete approved non-degree programs that provide in-demand skills, certifications and/or credentials.
2Who is eligible for FAST?
All graduates of Delaware high schools are eligible for FAST if they have enrolled in an approved program within 24 months of their graduation date. Funding is provided for tuition and supply/material costs of an approved program.
3How much money does a program participant receive?
The FAST program will reimburse participants up to 100% of the cost of an approved program ($10,000 maximum). State funding will cover any out-of-pocket program costs, after any scholarship or employer funding is taken into account. FAST funding is a one-time occurrence.
4What programs are eligible for FAST reimbursements?
The programs will be approved by the Workforce Development Board, who will be guided by industry trends and business needs to determine the best programs for approval.
